Evara has today announced the near completion of a new 80-home apartment building in Adamstown in west Dublin.

The St Helen’s Plaza development is being delivered by the country’s largest private homebuilder for Tuath Housing and South Dublin County Council. The new homes will be managed by Tuath, a not-for-profit Approved Housing Body, and occupied by those on the Council’s local housing waiting list.

Evara’s announcement was made as Mayor of South Dublin, Councillor Pamela Kearns, and Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage James Browne TD attended a topping out ceremony at St Helen’s Plaza to mark the reaching of roof level by the construction team.

St Helen’s Plaza comprises 80 new apartments and is located close to The Crossings town centre in Adamstown. The A-rated homes include 56 one-bedroom units and 24 two-bedroom units, along with a ground floor creche, which will be occupied by Giraffe Childcare.

Upon completion later this year, residents of the new five-storey building are set to benefit from excellent access to services and amenities. The homes are less than a kilometre from the Adamstown retail and transport hub, including The Crossings town centre, which hosts supermarkets, cafés and local services.

Adamstown Train Station is within walking distance, and the area is well connected by road, with convenient access to the M4 and N4 motorway network. Residents will also benefit from proximity to Airlie Park, a large public park with sports and recreational facilities located just 250 metres north of the scheme.

The project represents strong collaboration between Evara, Tuath, South Dublin County Council, the Department of Housing, and the Housing Finance Agency in accelerating the delivery of housing in Dublin.

Michael Hynes, Chief Executive Officer of Evara, said: “It’s fantastic to reach this important construction milestone at St Helen’s Plaza and we look forward to completing construction later this year. Once complete, this apartment building will offer residents a high standard of living at the heart of Adamstown. Evara has been central to delivering new homes, infrastructure and amenities at Adamstown, including The Crossings town centre, and we are pleased to see new developments and their new occupants adding to the vibrancy of what is already a great community. We are delighted to be constructing this building for Tuath Housing and South Dublin as part of our ongoing commitment to providing high-quality, sustainable housing for Dublin and the Greater Dublin area.”
